JAY DUGGAN
FOUNDING CEO - CONSULTANT
Jay Duggan is the founder and CEO of Launch Legacy Consulting, LLC. He has over twenty-eight years’ professional experience, sixteen in the financial services industry as a financial/insurance advisor for individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits and school systems. For the past twelve years Jay has worked with several large nonprofits including the University of Georgia, Operation Blessing and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America as both a frontline fundraiser and consultant in major giving and planned giving. Jay recently furthered his specialization in planned giving through earning the designation of Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® from the American College of Financial Services.
Jay prides himself in cultivating authentic relationships with donors and working with them in such a way that they experience the joy of giving. Throughout his career he has enjoyed mentoring and training others as a component of his work. He has taught one-on-one with major gift officers, planned giving officers, nonprofit CEOs, and Board members, and led trainings on a statewide, regional, and national basis.
CHERIE CARLSON DUGGAN
CO-FOUNDER - CONSULTANT
Cherie leads the major giving services for Launch Legacy Consulting. After a brief stint early in her career of practicing law and teaching Legal Research and Writing in a law school, Cherie came to the realization that the law simply did not stir her soul—but helping generous people find joy and meaning through generosity and philanthropy did! Twenty-five years later, Cherie’s approach to cultivating relationships with donors and helping them discover and fulfill their philanthropic passions has brought joy to many donors and in the process raised multi-millions of dollars in healthcare, higher education and human services.
Cherie holds Bachelors and Juris Doctorate degrees and is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® credentialed by the American College of Financial Services.

JONATHAN DUGGAN
DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPIC STRATEGIES – CONSULTANT
Jon brings a unique blend of technical expertise and values-based insight to his role as Director of Philanthropic Strategies at Launch Legacy Consulting. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with deep experience in financial planning and taxation, he helps nonprofits and their donors structure charitable gifts that are financially sound, mission-aligned, and strategically executed. Before joining Launch Legacy, Jon served as Director of Financial Planning at Procyon, where he specialized in building complex financial plans and implementing advanced wealth strategies for high-net-worth individuals. He helps donors understand the tax implications of selling a business and explores charitable strategies to minimize taxes and maximize philanthropic impact. His insights have been featured in MarketWatch, Kiplinger, and InvestmentNews.
Jon holds a Master of Science in Taxation and is a CFP® professional. With a background rooted in independent financial planning and tax analysis, he serves as a trusted advisor to nonprofit teams and generous individuals, helping them turn philanthropic vision into confident, well-structured action.
